Potty Training Made Easy
Child psychologist’s new book/DVD increases effectiveness and fun, decreases frustration and stress
Chicago, IL – Toilet training can be extremely stressful and if handled incorrectly can cause serious problems in a child’s development. Forcing a child to use the toilet and blaming them when accidents arise will only hinder the process. After working with over 24,000 children, renowned child psychologist, Dr. Baruch Kushnir, has written an easy to follow step-by-step toilet training guide, The Magic Bowl: Potty Training Made Easy (Price World Publishing, May 1, 2011), to help parents act and react properly during the toilet training process.
“Before beginning the toilet training process, parents must consider their child’s readiness,” says Dr. Kushnir. “Toilet training is a step in the progression of overall development. Like other components of development such as walking, speech, etc., it should be a positive and enjoyable experience for both the child and parents.”
Dr. Kushnir continues, “Parents should always remain positive and try their best to make the process fun, never becoming frustrated in front of their child. Negative behavior does not make any positive contribution to the potty training process and in fact may hurt the child emotionally and may have an undesirable effect on their self-image, self-confidence and their developing personality.”
Dr. Kushnir has synthesized over 25 years of experience to present this step-by-step manual which focuses on the positive aspects of each individual child’s behavior. Dr. Kushnir’s plan is not only stress free for both the parent and the child, but it actually celebrates the process and makes it fun!
The Magic Bowl contains an entire chapter dedicated to addressing any questions or concerns a parent might have and even includes an extra bonus chapter on nighttime toilet training.
Accompanying children’s DVD helps make potty training fun for children and parents.
Included with the book is a children’s DVD that was also created by Dr. Kushnir. The 22 minute DVD centers around three cartoon toddlers that experience the transition from using diapers to the toilet. The DVD is a cheerful cartoon musical that presents the toilet as a warm, loving, friendly, motherly, protective figure, putting a positive spin on potty training. The film promotes good toilet habits (flushing and washing hands) and the cartoonlike animation, sprightly songs, warm mood, and fast pace appeals to the target audience of toddlers reluctant to use the bathroom.
The Magic Bowl: Potty Training Made Easy book/DVD (978-1932549645) will be available May 1, 2011 on Amazon.com, BarnesandNobles.com and in bookstores nationwide for $19.95.
